The regulations required that births be reported by someone present at the birth. The information reported included the child's name, if one had been given, the date and place of the birth, the child's sex, the father's name, occupation and residence, the mother's name, including her maiden surname, and information about the informant.
The information you will find here is not complete and should not be seen as a definitive list of all Births in Ireland for the year 1867. Many of the census and other Irish records were destroyed in 1921. Please note that some names beginning with Mc or O' will also be found under the main letter. For example McGovern may also be found under the letter G, and O'Sullivan may also be found under the letter S.
