The information contained in the following pages includes, in addition to the ordinary Directory matter, lists of Wards and Poor Law Ullions; under each Parish is given the Ward, Union, and County Court District in which it is situated, as well as the Diocese, Archdeaconry, and Rural Deanery; and the College and University of every Beneficed Clergyman have been given, as far as they can be ascertained. The names of the Parish Clerks are given under the Parishes; the Money Order and Telegraph Offices and Post Office Savings Banks and Government Annuity and Insurance Offices are noticed; new Maps corrected to the present date, with the new lines of Railway laid down have been added.
