In the present edition of Slater's Directory of Manchester, published by Kelly's Directories Ltd., every effort has been made to improve the work, with a view of rendering it more and more useful. The contents include a Topographical Description of the City, with full information as to its various buildings and institutions. In the Suburban portion, whilst the grouping of districts with the Street Register for local reference is retained, one alphabetical 1ist of names only is given: thus it can at once be ascertained whether the name of any person is to be found in the book.
